We want you to be able to trust every number on this site, so we explain where it comes from and how we worked it out.

Hotel locations

Hotel locations come from open OpenStreetMap data (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL licence), cross-checked against other public sources. Hotels sometimes rename or close; if you spot a mistake, tell us and we'll fix it.

Walking minutes

• We measure the straight-line distance from the hotel to the nearest edge of the Masjid al-Haram or the Prophet's Mosque building (not to the Kaaba or the Rawdah).
• We multiply it by 1.3 to approximate real street routes and divide by 75 metres per minute (a relaxed walking pace).
• The figure is an estimate: it gets longer at prayer times, in crowds and in peak seasons, and depends on which gate you use.

Ranking

The default "best match" order combines walking minutes and hotel rating, and you can sort by closest to the Haram or highest rated. No hotel or partner pays for a higher position, and commissions never affect the order.

Prices

Prices shown are estimated nightly rates, pulled automatically from public price sources and from our partner Stay22, and refreshed regularly. The final, binding price is the one shown on the booking site when you complete your booking.

Religious content

Our Umrah and Hajj guides are based on the Quran, authentic Sunnah and recognised authorities (such as the official site of Sheikh Ibn Baz and Dar al-Ifta), with a source for every ruling. They are simplified educational guides, not fatwas; if in doubt, ask a trusted scholar.

Prayer times

Calculated with the Umm al-Qura method used in Saudi Arabia; they may differ by a minute or two from the actual call to prayer.
